Acoustic Design Engineer - Michigan City, Indiana

A global leader in design, engineering, and manufacturing of industrial noise control equipment is seeking an Acoustic Design Engineer.

Requirements:

+ B.S. degree Acoustics preferred, or Physics, Math, Mechanical Engineering, Masters degree a plus

+ At least 4 years experience with industrial noise control or acoustical equipment

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with customers

+ Proven success creating design solutions for efficiency, compliance, and cost

+ Experience with ST2 noise abatement technologies preferred

+ Experience applying acoustics technology to power plant operations preferred

+ Experience with noise prediction modeling and acoustical software, CadnaA preferred

+ Experience with metal/steel fabrication and welding a strong plus

+ Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, STAAD, and Visial Basic a strong plus

Inlet/Exhaust Silencers, Steam Vent Silencers, Industrial Fan Silencers (absorptive, tuned dissipative)

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
