Brett began his career as a Project Engineer with a local consulting firm. Over the next 5 years, he gained diversified engineering and project management experience, serving a variety of industries and businesses nationwide. In January 2004, he joined a local agency as a Recruiting Manager. For the first time in his career, he was given the opportunity to not only help businesses but also help professionals.

He immediately established himself as a top performer, well-liked and respected by both candidates and clients. Over the next 6 years, he placed over 100 professionals in mid- to executive-level positions within manufacturing, energy, technology, and engineering companies. Then, in January 2010, he took a leap of faith and went out on his own to continue the transformation and growth of Perona Consultants, with the goal of establishing the company as one of the premier executive recruiting firms in the industry.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
